Laura Jane Round is a writer, editor and performance poet from the West Midlands. Round has a BA (Hons) in Creative Writing from Liverpool John Moores University, making their poetry debut on the Liverpool performance circuit.

Round has been published many times, in places such as the Trickster Anthology, Lumpen Journal (of which they later went on to guest edit), the Beyond Queer Words Poetry Anthology and Sad Girl Review.

‘The Coveted’, Round’s debut pamphlet, was released in 2021 by Cerasus Poetry. Their sophomore effort, ‘TEATH’, was published by Alien Buddha Press in 2022.

A short story anthology from local press Tenebrous Texts, exclusively penned by Round, is currently in the works.

Since 2022, Round has been a short story competition judge for NYC Midnight. Round is also the Editorial Director of Tenebrous Texts, a West Midlands-based press that specialises in dark and speculative fiction.

Laura Jane loves weird films, sitting in cafés on rainy days and spending time with their partner and two gundogs.
